Assiniboine Park Conservancy, a newly created, private-public, not-for-profit Corporation charged with the responsibility of visioning, planning, building and governing the future of Assiniboine Park is looking for a founding Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will embrace the opportunity to implement a bold new vision and leave a lasting legacy by making something truly remarkable happen. The Position

We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who has a successful track record of directing transformative change in a complex organization. The Park’s first CEO will have experience implementing best practices in governance and management facilitated by outstanding communication and people skills, integrity and passion for one of Winnipeg’s most cherished assets. The successful candidate will have an advanced post secondary degree complemented with seven to ten years senior level management experience in the non-profit, public or private sector.

The major challenge of this new position is one of the founding CEO’s key attributes – leadership - the ability to move hearts and minds toward integration and transformation of the whole park into a world class entity that is sustainable for generations to come. The successful candidate will report directly to a volunteer Board of community leaders and is responsible for transitioning Assiniboine Park, and all its entities, into the future. The CEO will lead the effort to secure ongoing funding to meet current obligations, future plans, facilities and infrastructure upgrades and new construction. The CEO will lead the management team and all Assiniboine Park staff resources, is responsible for providing critical support to the volunteer Board and for nurturing relationships with all levels of government and the community.
