Our client, located in close proximity to Winnipeg,
is a manufacturing division of a dynamic multinational Corporation
conducting research and development, testing and production operations
in Canada, Barbados, the United States, Puerto Rico, and Ireland.
With a record of success and innovation, our client is looking for
a Director, Human Resources to join their local site leadership
team.
Position
The Director, Human Resources will provide strategic
human resources leadership and support to the local manufacturing
facility. The successful candidate will partner with the site leadership
team to direct and manage organizational development and planning,
recruitment and staffing, performance management, employee relations,
compensation management, and leadership and employee development
with the assistance of the local Human Resources team.
Experience
The successful candidate will have a relevant post-secondary degree
complemented by a minimum of seven to ten years in human resource
management in a manufacturing environment. Specific post-secondary
education in human resources management is required, and a CHRP
designation is an asset. The incumbent must have demonstrated human
resources leadership experience, a thorough knowledge of the local
culture and community, current and progressive human resource practices,
and provincial and federal legislation. Excellent strategic, change
management, visionary planning and critical assessment capabilities
together with strong judgment are requirements for this position.
The successful candidate will be results-oriented, trustworthy and
respectful of people at all levels of the organization. Integrity
and effective leadership through developing and mentoring direct
reports, building and maintaining strong internal relationships,
and strong interpersonal communication and team-building skills
are critical for this position.
